GIRLS MAKEUP PARTY: Gift Bag, Tag and Card

Now onto today's feature cartridge!  It's the new GIRL'S MAKEUP PARTY Event Cartridge!  Like all the new 'event' cartridges there are many 3D projects designed to provide everything you would need for a birthday party or bridal shower even a fun 'girl's night out' celebration.

But, don't think that the cartridges are just for those who are hosting parties.  They are also perfect for those 'going' to parties too!  If you are one of those that enjoy putting that personal touch on your gifts by making the card, gift wrap and tag... then you are going to LOVE these cartridges for that too!

The gift bag was a plain polka dotted bag that already had the green stripe around the top.  I matched the green to cut the shield shadow with a white layer (cut at 9.25").

The crown was cut at 4.5" and pop-dotted at the top of the shield.  The "Happy Birthday" wordart is only one layer and was cut at 1.5" using black core'dinations cardstock.  The black dots are black glittery skittles from Paper Studio.

The gift tag is just a smaller version (cut at 2.5") of the card that is available on this cartridge.  I layered the crown that is embellished with more of those fun glittery skittles and inked my edges.

The inside sentiment is one of MY PINK STAMPERS' stamps from her new BIRTHDAY CRAZY set.

The card feature has no layers, but because of it's great shape... all you have to do is cut another one at 1/2" smaller... cut it in half and there are your layers.

The card was cut at 4.5" and is just a larger version of the gift tag.  The "Happy Birthday" is from that same MY PINK STAMPER stamp set.

SPACE PARTY: Party Supplies

Hello Everyone!

Today's feature cartridge is the new SPACE PARTY Cricut Events Cartridge.  I made 5 projects from this cartridge...

Everything you need for a SPACE PARTY!

Here's a cute spaceship centerpiece cut at 3.75"

The alien's head was cut at 3.75" also.  

It has a front and a back made from three layers (one green and two black)

I used my trusty white signo pen to add additional embellishments.

Okay... I just HAD to make the mask too!

It was cut at 9.5" so that it fit the party sunglasses.  I used a hot glue gun to attach the mask to the glasses.  The mask has a hole on each side so that you can use string or ribbon to tie it on a child's face, but I liked this idea much better.

I really like the cupcake wrapper on this cartridge.

because is has a bottom to it!

So, instead of using it for cupcakes... I decided to make a nut cup out of it.  

It was cut at 1.5" (seriously!) and I used two out of the three available icons to decorate it with.

The 'space camp' treat topper was cut at 2.75"

Isn't this the cutest card?  It was cut at 3.25"

Open the door and it says, "Thank You!".  The 'Thank You' was cut at 1"

There are so many cute projects on this cartridge.  I wanted to cut even more to share with you, but I had to force myself to move onto the next cartridge!

I needed a model for the alien mask, but my two little nephews are away on vacation right now.  My own boys are young men now and way past the age of 'Space Parties'... but, they are sweet guys and when I asked each of them to model the alien mask for me, they both did it... a bit hesitantly... but they did nevertheles.  I just love these guys...

Above is my oldest, Patch and his little brother, Matt, below.  They were great sports!

WORD COLLAGE: Birthday Card

Hello Everyone!

Wellllllll.... I got alot of comments yesterday about which new cartridge everyone liked the most and I didn't do an 'official' count, but I would say that WORD COLLAGE Cricut Cartridge was definitely the most popular!  So, I decided to make it my feature cartridge for today!  This cartridge just 'screams' home decor and everyone knows that I love making home decor!  But, I also like making the 'unexpected' sometimes, so I made a birthday card instead! Heehee  But, don't worry.... I do have some home decor to share with you later this week.

This birthday card is for my husband... his birthday is this coming Tuesday.  It is a gatefold card that measures 6.5" tall by 6" wide (closed).

The word collage was cut at 6".  I just loved this one because I thought it was actually funny.  Wouldn't this just be great wall art for a martial arts business!  LOL!  I also thought it was perfect for this birthday card.

The birthday candle is from the BIRTHDAY BASH cricut cartridge and was cut at 5.5"

Okay... so I know that I should keep my day job, because Hallmark isn't going to 

hire me... but I thought my inside sentiment was funny!  hehee
