EXPRESSION2: Just A Note Digital Cartridge

Hello Everyone!

I'm traveling to Tennessee today (Memphis bound!), but made some videos on the Expression 2 for you before I left!  Today, I'm focusing on one of the cute digital cartridges (JUST A NOTE) that comes already preloaded on the Cricut Expression 2 Anniversary Edition machine.  This cartridge was designed by Julie from COSMO CRICKET, and if you are a Cosmo Cricket fan, you will LOVE this cartridge!  It is adorable!

I broke this project down into 6 steps to walk you through the whole process of making the cute tri-fold cards on JUST A NOTE.  Each step is designed to show you different features and tips of the new Expression2:

STEP ONE:  Locating Images on the Expression2 (includes zooming)

STEP TWO:  How to use FIT TO PAGE on the Expression2

STEP THREE:  Adding layered images to your virtual mat on the Expression2

STEP FOUR:  Cutting with the Expression2

STEP FIVE:  Cutting the second matt on the Expression2

STEP SIX:  Finished Tri-fold Cards

There you go!  Easy Peasy!  I have really enjoyed using the Expression 2 this week!  It is so easy to learn and what I wasn't sure of was easily found in the included handbook.  Here's another look at these cute cards:

They are so easy and just so cute!  I'll be adding the sentiments inside later and will show them again.  Now... the question is.... if you are on the fence about purchasing this new machine... would the included cartridges push you off the fence?  Remember that there are FOUR cartridges, three are full content (up to 700 images) and one is like a solutions (up to 200 images) but probably have a retail value of $320.  That is if you count the MSRP of the cartridges.  If you are like me and my friends, we are savvy shoppers and try to never pay more than $50 per full cartridge and $30 per solution... that is still $180 value for just the cartridges that come with the machine.  I don't know for sure yet what the price of the Expression 2 is going to be when it premieres on HSN.... but I would subtract the $180 and that is what you are paying for the actual machine.  My sscrubby hates my logic when I break down the value and justify my purchases, but HEY!  It works!  wink wink!!

I'll be back with more Expression 2 fun tomorrow!!

Creatively yours,

Tammy

Tammy you help me so much with your videos-I am really thinking hard about the Ex 2-I just hope they don't price it too high. Have fun in Memphis-my son lives in Lakeland with my two cute little grand daughters and we always say we are going to Memphis when we visit. Thanks again

Your cards are so cute! Thanks for the videos showing how to make them and explaining the new E2. I'd love to get it, but I just don't have the money or the space right now. Maybe someday, if they're still around at that time.

Your logic re: price is so, well, logical! I had told myself, no, no, no. You can't have it. Now however, I think I'd be a fool not to buy the Expression 2. The videos were all I needed to convince me that I can figure it out. Thank you for your great work in bringing this wonderful product to my level.

Thanks Tammy for the great videos. I have explained the same logic to my hubby. I'm hoping he says "Okay". At first, he said, isn't there a new machine coming up soon (how sweet) and I told him yes, but you're off the hook for this one. BUT after seeing all these videos from you and Jana and Robyn, I'm getting really excited for the launch. Your cards are cute! Thanks again.

WOW Tammy...thanks for all the great tips on the E2. I am practically drooling to get one of these for myself. And I love your "logic" on justifying the cost :)

I bought my Expression just a couple of months before E2 was released, so I've got some wearing out to do before I upgrade again. Looks like a great machine, though!

I love tri-fold cards. My favorite actually! Thanks for sharing so many ideas!

Great videos! I have two questions though. One, is there an option not to have the light turned on on the blade housing, or could I just not see the light in your video. Second, I am guessing that there is a weld feature on the screen options. Am I right?

I like the E2 and would like to get it. I do find fault with your rationalization. The original Expression came with 2 carts...so I don't look at the price of 4 carts...just that I am getting 2 extra...maybe worth $100. I hate the price is kept a big secret. I would find it easier to budget for this if I knew what the price would be. Maybe Cricut could convince HSN to release the information.

Wonderful tutorials. I love your logic on the price of the included cartridges offsetting the price of the E2. :o) I may have to try that logic on my hubby come April 26th.
