How to Update your GYPSY
Hello Everyone!
Here is a video on how to update your gypsy for those who have never done it before! It really is an easy process. I was able to test the new May update that we had hoped would be released today, but it has been pushed to tomorrow.
I uploaded this video with a larger screen, so if it one side cuts off on your computer, you can click HERE to see it in full view.

MINI MONSTERS Cricut Cartridge: I Want My Mummy
Love this odd little guy! Not really what I would picture as a mummy and I have to say that the mummy on the PAPER DOLL DRESS UP cartridge is cuter. But, it might be his outstretched arms that draw me in...

...I think it is the phrase that goes with him that is definitely the hook! LOL! Both can be found on page 35 of the MINI MONSTERS handbook.

Would be cute on a scrapbook layout or a card. Here is a card that I made with it.

My card was cut from the JUST BECAUSE cartridge at 6"x6" (I sized it with my gypsy). I cut two so that my stripe piece would line up perfectly with the scallop side. My little mummy guy (looks like a guy to me, lol) was cut at 4.75".

The phrase was cut at 4.75" too... simple three pieces and everything was connected. I typed "To have a great BIRTHDAY" on the computer and pop dotted it onto the page to complete my birthday card! This one will be from my sscrubby to his mom, her birthday is next month!

Hope you like my simple card... I KNOW you will LOVE the MINI MONSTERS cartridge! It is so fun and great for Halloween and other stuff too. All comments today are eligible to win this cartridge! I will draw the winner first thing in the morning. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

TOY STORY: Frames
Today I am talking about the new TOY STORY cricut cartridge! All comments today until midnight will be eligible to win a brand new copy of the TOY STORY cartridge!
Okay... after cutting out all 40 frames for the new CINDY LOO cartridge, I guess I'm a little obsessed about frames, lol. So, naturally the first thing I would cut on the TOY STORY cartridge would be the four frames is has to offer!! LOL! Not to mention that whether you love TOY STORY (and I do!) or not... these frames would be perfect for oh, so many other things! Let's look at them by themselves first:
FRAME 1 - Rope Frame
This would be your more feminine of the frames because of the flower. There is not an option to cut the rope without the flower because it is built into the design, so definitely girly. I added green flower rhinestones to it, but you could use Primas or just leave the red flower plain. So cute! It is easy to cut, only three layers with the last being only the two red flowers.

FRAME 2 - Cow Frame
"Milk-a-What?" LOL! Anybody know where that comes from? My nephew is definitely a milk-a-holic, so that has become a family saying around our house! I will definitely be using this frame to scrapbook that! Another cute title would be "GOT MILK?", take a photo of your family with milk mustaches and plop it into the frame... instant page! This frame was easy... two pieces, one black and one white and your done!

FRAME 3 - Space Frame
So cool! My youngest son is the 'scientist' of the family and I can think of so many layouts that I will be able to use this one for! Have you ever taken your kids to a science museum? How about space camp? I'm so happy I haven't cropped our pictures from the Houston NASA Space Museum! We went last summer (yes, I am that far behind! lol) This, too, is an easy frame... only two pieces. I think adding some glitter glue would really make it stand out.

FRAME 4 - Wood Frame
This one is probably my favorite, wood frames can go for oh so many things! Add flowers around the outside and it is perfect for that country wedding! This frame has 3 layers and there are holes for you to add brads to represent the nails. Word of caution on this one... DO NOT cut the top layer with lightweight thin paper! It will shred it. I found that Core'dinations was the perfect weight.

So, here is what the frames look like with a photo. I cut the cute Bullseye out at 4" and the frame is cut at 6" (which is perfect for my 4x6 photo). And see... the photo doesn't even have to be TOY STORY related to be CUTE!

There you go! So, even if you are not a TOY STORY fan, there is something for everyone on this cartridge! The question is... are four frames worth the cost of a cartridge! My answer would be YES! But, hey, I am a little cricut crazy. But, we are also 'horsepeople' and three out of those four frames will get alot of use in our albums!
Hope your weekend is GREAT! I will draw the winner of this cartridge first thing tomorrow morning and post it right away! FRESHLY PICKED will be my feature cartridge for Monday and I will finish up with MINI MONSTERS on Tuesday! I also have the following prizes to give away on Monday:
- FIVE Scissor bling for your Gypsy or Cell Phone

CINDY LOO Cricut Cartridge: Frame Feature
Hello Everyone!
Are you ready for a peek at the new CINDY LOO Cricut Cartridge? This is a really pretty cartridge. I think that it compliments the very popular STORYBOOK cartridge. One of the things that I like about this one is the FRAME FEATURE. I love matting my photos for a layout, but I've started using frames to emphasize specific photos on a page. The frame just really allows you to draw attention to the picture. I also love to use frames for my journaling. Its easy to type my journaling on the computer and then plop a frame on top of it!
Here are all 40 frames that CINDY LOO has to offer. These were all cut at 4" which worked just fine, but there are a few that have great details that you will want to cut larger for empahsis.

I wanted to take a minute to welcome all the new visitors to my cricut blog! My regulars know this, but I want to point out the labels on the right hand side... I am very careful about how I label my posts. If you are looking for inspiration with a specific cartridge, simply click on the cartridge name (ex: Cricut - Plantin Schoolbook) and everything I have posted with that cartridge will be put together on a page. If you are a visual person and enjoy watching videos, then click on the VIDEOS label at the bottom. So enjoy yourself and take a look around... I've got over a year's worth of fun to share with you!
When you are done with that, don't forget that Robyn (http://www.mypinkstamper.com/) is featuring the new FRESHLY PICKED today and we will both be giving our feature cartridges away first thing tomorrow morning!
